Submission of comments to the DOE/AE Compilation of submitted inputs:
you are PDD considered only adsorbtion based PSA system for upgradation of Biogas i.e Landfill gas to CNG.Considering the importance of low cost absorbtion based scrubbing system for upgading of biogas, especially with respect to Indian context as the same is well developed in india, the project should also consider absorbtion( water scrubber) based technology for implementation .This will greatly enhances the opportunity for adoptation and successful absorbtion of indigenouly developed technology.

3.Which criteria is followed for Disposal of MSW
4.No details is available for Specifications for Landfills – Pollution Prevention-Water Quality Monitoring-Ambient Air Quality Monitoring

1.Whether state government department has issued any NOC to this project?
2.What is percentage wise content of Municipal Solid Waste received by GAIL for processing? 3.Whether Municipal Corporation will treat the waste in any manner before transportation?
4.What is frequency of road transportation carrying MSW from collection point to site? Whether transportation emission has been considered?
5.Are there any financial benefits for surrounding villages due to proposed CDM project of GAIL as a part of Corporate Social Responsibility? Whether company has proposed any community welfare projects in benefits of surrounding community?
6.Any/What specific chemical is used to accelerate biological decomposition? Such information would be valuable for students as well as general public.
7.Unwanted materials including inert rejected during processing are either recycled in the plant or properly taken out as segregated items for their utilization as raw materials to other recycling industries. In short, integrated inert management is an important feature of the plant.”
Does this mean it is a zero-discharge plant? How is it possible to recycle paper shreds, plastic wrappers and polythene bags, bottle caps which are not of grades I to VI and suitable for recycling? What about the inert debris, sand dust, stones, floor sweepings, ash?which would mean that all of the above might be dumped in the surrounding areas.
