Submission of comments to the DOE/AE Compilation of submitted inputs:
1>> In the investment barrier section, project proponent says that in absence of the project actvity, it would have met its thermal demand with coal based gasifier. According to the kiln operational practices, a ceramic kiln usually operates at a temp of 1200degC. In such a case, fuels like Natural gas or Furnace oil is capable of meeting the demand. Is the coal gasifier is capable of generating coal gas at such high temp. upstream? Please clarify.

2>>Gujrat enjoys the surplus availability of natural gas supply in the region after the recent wells which came into operation. In such a scenario, it would only be a BAU to switch to the NG rather than FO, which had always been a costly fuel to use. Please clarify.

thanks, Sauvik Banerjee
