Additional information | |
1) The DOE is requested to further explain how it has validated the parameters used in the financial analysis, in particular, the amount of zinc oxide and zinc dust and the fuel consumption of B-C oil and natural gas in both the baseline and project scenario. Please refer to paragraph 114 (a) of VVM v1.2. 2) The DOE is requested to explain how they have validated compliance with the applicability condition 8 of the applied methodology given that the methodology requires direct measurement and recording of the energy use/output. Please refer to paragraph 76 of VVM v1.2. 3) The PP/DOE is requested to explain and further validate how the project activity meets the requirements of paragraph 23 (a) of AMS-III.B version 15; in particular, given that the “output of element process i after the project activity has been implemented (QPJ,y)” will be calculated based on the LNG consumption and the amount of final products rather than directly measured as required by the methodology. In doing so, the DOE should also explain how the monitoring plan will ensure that all the claimed emission reductions are due to the fuel switching measure and not on account of any other measures (such as increase in efficiency, etc). Please refer to paragraph 123 of VVM v1.2. |
