It has been noted that on several occasions during the monitoring period, the data provided shows that even when there is no biogas flow, the temperature of the flare remains very high. For example, for flare 1 on the 22 November 2009, from 8:13 to 17:00, there was no biogas flow and however, the temperature of the flare was always above 500 °C (Spreadsheet “2635-ER Sheet1” page: “Month 11 2009” cells D3077 to D3129), and the same happened to flare 2 (before called flare 3) from the 13 to the 16 November 2009 (Spreadsheet “2635-ER Sheet1” page: “Month 11 2009” cells M1732 to M2243). Clarification is required on how the temperature can be maintained so high when there was no biogas flow into the burner.
