As per the applied methodology and the monitoring plan, the parameter MMelec is required to be monitored continuously. However, in the spreadsheet, the project participant reported hourly averaged data for MMelec which was then multiplied by 24 (hours) to get daily quantity of methane sent to electricity generation (MMelec). This calculated daily value was used in the calculation of emission reductions. This is not in accordance with the applied methodology and the monitoring plan. The DOE is requested to provide further clarification on how it has verified the calculation of baseline emissions from the methane sent to electricity generation, MMelec, of each mine.
