- Choose Sectoral Scope(s) to determine scope of accreditation
- Choose sectoral scopes from the list of sectoral scopes and requirements approved by the CDM-AP in accordance with paragraphs 10 to 16 of sub-section B.2 of the Procedure for accrediting operational entities by the Executive Board of the CDM, It is noted that in accordance with the same provisions, applicant entities may propose new sectoral scope(s). An entity may apply to be accredited for at least one “sectoral scope”. An entity may apply to be accredited for additional sectoral scopes.
- Phased accreditation: The Board agreed to provide for
phased accreditation with regard to the functions of validation and verfication/certification
and sectoral scope(s). This means that an AE may only be accredited for
parts of the scope of accrediation it applied for pending the accreditation
for the remainder. The CDM-AP may therefore recommend to the EB the accreditation/designation
of an AE by function (validation or verification/certification) and by
specified sectoral scope(s) if the AE has succesfully completed the desk
review, on-site assessment as well as required witnessing activities relvant
for the recommended phased accrediation. For more detail and clarification

- Request Banking Information

application fees may be requested from the secretariat (secretariat@unfccc.int),
by indicating a fax number to which the information should be forwarded.
In adddition a copy of the message should be sent to cdm
accreditation@unfccc.int.

- Pay Application Fee
- The non-reimburseable application fee is 15.000 US$. Applicant operational entities from non-Annex I Parties may have the possibility of paying 50% of the non-reimbursable fee when the entity apply for accreditation, provided that these entities state their inability to pay the full fee at application, bearing in mind the need to meet the standards as contained in para 1 (c) and (d) of Appendix A to the CDM M&P. The remaining 50% of the fee should be paid at a later stage once and if the operational entity is accredited and designated and starts operation;
- Additional Cost Involved
- In accordance with appendix 3 of the Procedure
for accrediting operational entities by the Executive Board of the CDM,
standard cost items are to be published.
- Cost of one work day of one assessment team member is 400 US dollars.
- Cost for one work day of an assessment team is minimum 1,200 US dollars. (A CDM-AT consists of at least three members, see paragraph 31 of sub-section B.1 of the Procedure for accrediting operational entities by the Executive Board of the CDM )
- The CDM-AP anticipates that an average on-site assessment will require two working days of a CDM-AT with in addition half a day for the team to meet the day before the assessment (no fee to be paid for this half day). If a witnessing activity is combined with on-site assessment, it is anticipated that it will involve at min. two AT members for one day each.
