Call for public input on the revision of the methodology "AMS-I.E: Switch from non-renewable biomass for thermal applications by the user", (10 October to 24 October 2019, 23:59 CEST)
The Methodologies Panel (MP) was seeking inputs on themethodology “AMS-I.E.: Switch from non-renewable biomass for thermal applications by the user", as contained in MP 80 Annex 13
The work was carried out in the context of the mandates to revise the methodology to:
a) further elaborate requirements to account for stove-stacking (i.e. use of multiple stoves and fuels in the project households) (EB 102, para.46) and
b) make it consistent with the recommendations in the concept note “Methodological approaches for calculating emissions reductions from project activities, resulting in the reduced use of non-renewable biomass in households” (EB 103, para.28).
The scope of the public input included but was not limited to the highlighted text.
Stakeholders were invited to provide their inputs on the Methodology in the commenting table found here.
The call for inputs from stakeholders was open (10 October to 24 October 2019, 23:59 CEST)
The public inputs will be taken into account when preparing the final draft of the Methodology to be recommended to the Board.
