Call for input on the draft revision of the methodology "AMS-I.E: Switch from non-renewable biomass for thermal applications by the user" (23 October to 05 November 2015, 24:00 GMT)
The SSC WG is seeking inputs on the top-down revision of the approved methodology: “AMS-I.E: Switch from non-renewable biomass for thermal applications by the user”
The draft revision was carried out as a continuation of the work to develop a top-down default value for baseline fuelwood consumption.
The draft revision of the methodology:
(i) Simplifies and streamlines the requirements for determination of the baseline fuelwood consumption (e.g. by including of a default value for baseline fuelwood consumption per person per year);
(ii) Improves monitoring provisions.
Stakeholders are invited to provide inputs on the draft revisions of the methodologies, as contained in annex 5 of the report of the 49th meeting of the SSC WG. Stakeholders are invited to provide inputs in the commenting table found here.
The scope of the public inputs shall include but is not limited to text highlighted in the draft revised methodology, as contained in annex 5 of the report of the 49th meeting of the SSC WG.
The call for inputs from stakeholders was open from 23 October to 05 November 2015, 24:00 GMT.
The public inputs will be taken into account when preparing the draft revised methodology to be recommended to the Board at a future meeting.
