Please elaborate the reason for requesting a review on the issues you indicated in section 2 above

1) Refer to paragraph: paragraph 24 of the standard “Sampling and surveys for CDM project activities and programmes of activities” version 07, paragraph 347 and 360(d) of VVS for PoA version 2

For the determination of thermal efficiency of ethanol stove (ETstove,Efficiency,y), the DOE shall further substantiate how it has verified:

(a) the compliance of the monitoring practice with the monitoring plan in CPA-DDs, in particular the stove performance report (done by Johannesburg University) applied in this monitoring period (from 01/07/2018 to 31/05/2019) dates back to year 2016 whereas the monitoring plan requires annual monitoring of stove efficiency. In addition, the DOE shall substantiate how it has verified that the entity (i.e. Johannesburg University) conducting the efficiency test is a qualified lab, as required by CPA-DDs.

(b) the correctness and appropriateness of the applied value (i.e. 65%), in particular how this value was derived from the selected samples and the efficiency test of each selected sample. In doing so, the test result of each selected sample, the period of testing, the actual precision achieved shall be specified and how the precision achieved is derived shall be illustrated. Additionally, if the 158 samples indicated by the spreadsheet (i.e. row 20 of tab “Monitoring Data”) are all tested, please clarify how the efficiency of each sample stands for an identical value of 65%.
