Call for inputs from stakeholders on the processes for renewal of crediting period and renewal of PoA period is open from 25 May to 24 June 2018 (24:00 GMT)

The Executive Board of the clean development mechanism (CDM), at its ninety-ninth meeting (EB 99), considered the concept note on the change to the process for renewal of crediting period of CDM project activities and the process for renewal of the CDM programme of activities (PoA) period, and requested the secretariat to conduct a call for public input on possible improvements for the renewal processes to aid its consideration.

Stakeholders were invited to share views on the appropriateness of the current renewal processes found in section 9 (paragraphs 263-288) of the “CDM project cycle procedure for project activities” and in section 9 (paragraphs 275-305) of the “CDM project cycle procedure for programmes of activities”, identifying paragraphs that may need to be revised and the rational for that, using the commenting table found here.

The call for inputs from stakeholders was open from 25 May to 24 June 2018 (24:00 GMT).

The inputs received will be considered by the CDM Executive Board.
