Call for input on the Guidelines for the establishment of sector specific standardized baselines (7 April to 21 April 2017, 24:00 GMT)

The Methodologies Panel (MP) was seeking inputs on the draft “Guidelines for the establishment of sector specific standardized baselines”, as contained in MP 72 Annex 15

The Board requested the MP to incorporate clarifying elements into the guidelines at its eighty-ninth meeting (EB 89 report, para 37), as previously included in the concept note “Package on further development of a standardized baseline framework into the "Guidelines for the establishment of sector specific standardized baselines" without revising any of the existing approaches in the guidelines.

The scope of the public input included but was not limited to the highlighted text. Stakeholders were specially encouraged to submit proposals of benchmarks to simplify the calculation of baseline and project emissions and the monitoring.

Stakeholders were invited to provide their inputs on the guideline in the commenting table found here.

The call for inputs from stakeholders was open from 7 April to 21 April 2017, (24:00 GMT).

The public inputs will be taken into account when preparing the final draft guideline to be recommended to the Board at a future meeting.
