Call for input on the revision of ACM0001 ver.15.0: Flaring or use of landfill gas (11 July to 26 July 2016, 24:00 GMT)

The MP is seeking inputs on the revision of

“ACM0001 ver.15.0: Flaring or use of landfill gas”, as contained in MP70 Annex 3

The Board requested the MP at its 87th meeting (EB87 report, para. 40) to review the approved methodology to

a)   Provide additional clarity on the application of simplified additionality provisions;

b)   Clarify that the methodology is applicable only if the baseline is managed landfill without landfill gas recovery;

c)    Ensure that biogas monitoring is consistent with that contained in the respective methodological tool;

d)   Update the validity of the automatic additionality provisions.

Stakeholders are invited to provide their inputs on the draft revision of the methodology in the commenting table found here.

The scope of the public input shall include but is not limited to text highlighted in the draft revision of the methodology.

The call for inputs from stakeholders is open from 11 July to 26 July 2016 (24:00 GMT).

The public inputs will be taken into account when preparing the draft revised methodologies to be recommended to the Board at a future meeting.
