Call for input on additional cost-effective approaches to demonstrating the eligibility of land for A/R CDM project activities (15 May to 14 June 2015, 24:00 GMT)
The Afforestation and Reforestation Working Group (the A/R WG) of the clean development mechanism Executive Board (the Board) sought inputs on the draft proposal “Additional cost-effective approaches to demonstrating the eligibility of land for A/R CDM project activities”.
This work was being carried out by the Board in response to the request by the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol (CMP) at its tenth session (CMP 10) to “explore additional cost-effective approaches to demonstrating the eligibility of land to qualify as a clean development mechanism (CDM) afforestation or reforestation (A/R) project activity”.
Stakeholders and other interested members of the public were invited to:
(a) Provide their inputs on the draft proposal available here
(b) Suggest other additional cost-effective approaches to demonstrating the eligibility of land for A/R CDM project activities, as requested by the CMP.
The inputs will be taken into account by the A/R WG at its fortieth meeting (ARWG 40) while preparing the draft recommendations to the Board on this matter.
This call was open from 15 May to 14 June 2015 (24:00GMT).
