CDM Information System Friends Club


In order to attract bright professionals into the process of development of the CDM Information System, the UNFCCC Secretariat is maintaining the CDM Information System Friends Club. Friends are attracted for consultancy work developing components for our systems. We are happy to sponsor development of open source projects as long as their functionality is required in our systems.

We invite programmers, software architects and engineers to apply for membership. We require different skill sets while the majority of our tasks require the following from you:

  • a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Applied Mathematics or similar
  • good analytical and problem solving skills, self-motivation, ability to efficiently work independently as well as in a team
  • experience programming in Python
  • experience programming for Zope 2 framework
  • experience programming in Javascript, including using XMLHttpRequest/AJAX
  • fluency in written and spoken English
