1: The DOE is requested to provide information on the steps taken to cross-check the given information in the PDD and to determine the authenticity of the documentation to demonstrate additionality as per VVM v 1.2 paragraph 97.
The DOE is required to further substantiate how it has validated the additonality of the project as it (p 39) stated that “It is necessary to confirm that additionality of the proposed project has been demonstrated in the PDD, based on the requirement of "Additionality tool(ver.05.2). Thus this item could be closed as OK.” and “Tool for the demonstration and assessment of additionality” (version 5.2) was applicable for the request for registration submitted until 25 July 2012.
2: The DOE is requested to report how it has validated the scope of the common practice analysis as per VVM v 1.2 paragraph 121 (a).
The DOE is required to further substantiate how it validated the geographical area is Sichuan Province rather the entire host country as a default as per “Tool for the demonstration and assessment of additionality” version 6 as the DOE did not provide any validation on the justification of the geographical area indicated in the PDD.
