Submission incomplete:
Responding the issues that were raised previously, the generic CPA-DD 2 has been revised:
(a) To describe that “6” in the equation on page 51 is the default wood to charcoal conversion factor of 6 kg of firewood (wet basis) per kg of charcoal (dry basis). However, on page 52 under parameter Bold,i,j, the generic CPA-DD 2 states “Alternatively, credible local conversion factors determined from a field study or literature may be applied.”. This contradicts with the conversion factor of 6 which has been embedded into the equation on page 51;
(b) Under parameter Bold,c,HH (page 52). The parameter can also be calculated from Bold,p multiplied by Np,HH. As per page 52, this parameter refers “annual quantity of charcoal” per household. However, the multiplication of parameter Bold,p (Annual quantity of woody biomass per person) and parameter Np,HH (Average number of persons served per household) will result in “Annual quantity of woody biomass per household” and is not in line with the description of parameter Bold,c,HH (i.e. annual quantity of charcoal per person). The generic CPA-DD 2 shall be clear whether it is woody biomass or charcoal, and not consider both are equal as stated on page 51. It is also to be noted that the default value of Bold,p of 0.5 refers to woody biomass, not charcoal.
Refer to paragraph 124(a) of VVS-PoA.
