1:
The CPA-DDs (section under “Proportion of biomass use in urban and rural areas by region”) indicate that all CPAs are implemented in Lome. The CME shall correct the reference of CPA1 in CPA-DDs 002/003 (page 54).

2: AMS-II.G. ver. 4 para 6.
The charcoal saved per stove in project activity (By,savings-charcoal of 0.216 tons/year), applied in calculating the emissions due to charcoal production for the households switching from wood to charcoal, is determined and fixed ex-ante. However, the applied methodology (AMS-II.G. ver. 4 para 6) requires By,savings-charcoal is determined from monitored parameters.

3: Sampling and surveys for CDM project activities and programmes of activities, ver. 07 paragraph 24.
The last monitoring survey was conducted in year 2016 which included only CPAs 001/002. The current monitoring period also includes CPA003 and the same survey results from year 2016 have been applied for CPAs 001/002/003. The DOE to provide information on how it verified that the survey results from year 2016 are also applicable to CPA003.

4: AMS-II.G. ver. 06 paragraphs 22-24.
The number of days of project stove utilization has been reported as 365 days. However, it is observed that the baseline stoves continued to be used. The DOE shall report how it verified monitoring of this parameter in compliance with the applicable methodology.

5: PS-PoA ver. 01 paragraph 120 (b).
The monitoring report indicates a proportion of number stoves (Nsold) was distributed through retailers. It is observed from the emission reduction excel sheet that, although these stoves have the required IDs, only contact details of the retailers are provided. The CME/DOE to provide information on how the end-user locations will be tracked.

6: VVS-PoA ver. 01 paragraph 349.
(a) The CME/DOE shall provide information to clarify the following:
i. The stove efficiency for age 1 and age 2 are the same (0.3410),
ii. The stove efficiency for age 3 (0.2961) is lower than the efficiency for age 4 (0.3395),
iii. A comparison between the 1st, 2nd and 3rd requests for issuance indicates an increasing trend in the stove efficiencies across the age groups (i.e. 1st request for issuance: age 1 (0.283), age 2 (0.304)…; 2nd request for issuance: Age 1 (0.2972), age 2 (0.2986)… and 3rd request: Age 1 (0.3410, age 2 (0.3410)….),
iv. The calculated stove degradation factor (i.e. the ratio monitored efficiency per age group/ Efficiency of the system being deployed) shows a value greater than 1 (one) which indicates an increase in the efficiency of the project stoves as they age, however the efficiency of the stove should decrease with aging

7: VVS-PoA ver.01 359 (c).
The emission reductions are calculated based on the Bold, charcoal and project number of stoves sold (Nsold). However, it is observed that the baseline for the project stoves replacing wood stoves (Nwood) should be Bold, wood. The CME/DOE to provide information clarifying how the wood baseline was taken into account. Please take note that the monitoring report (page 39 step 7) only calculates the emissions from charcoal production due to households switching from inefficient charcoal stoves to efficient charcoal stoves.
