Submission incomplete:
1: Scope: The validation opinion does not describe the nature and extent of the actual changes, determine whether this description accurately reflects the implementation, operation and monitoring of the modified project activity (VVS v.2 para 271)
The verification report, page 12 states that "the new barns do not affect the treatment capacity of the plant (it affects the manure flow treated but it does not affect the manure treatment capacity of the plant itself)". On page 14 the DOE states that "during the verification assessment it was identified that the manure treated in both plants was above the treatment design capacity indicated in the registered PDD page 55 (952 m3/day in Maitenlahue, 1,428m3/day in La Manga). The Project Participant indicated that the treatment capacity of both Maitenlahue and La Manga plants has increased due to upgrades in the plants."
Please further clarify.
2: Scope: The validation opinion does not provide an opinion on how the changes would impact: a) additionality; b) scale; c) applicability and application of the baseline methodology: d) compliance of the monitoring plan with the applied monitoring methodology; e) level of accuracy of the monitoring (VVS v.2 para 279 (c))
Issue: The verification report does not contain information on how it assessed that the livestock populations are managed under confined conditions at the new barns that began discharging manure to La Manga and Maitenlahue treatment plants, as per the applicability conditions of the applied methodology AM0006 version 01
3: Scope: The spreadsheet does not contain all parameters required to be monitored and/or reported at the intervals required by the monitoring plan and the applied methodology?
Issue: The monitoring report / spreadsheet do not contain the animal population (Npopulation) in each barn that feeds to Maitenlahue and La Manga sites.
4: Scope: The spreadsheet does not contain the formulae of calculation that are shown in the spreadsheet cells whenever possible.
Issue: The monitoring report indicates that the formula for annual average weight is as follows:
Annual average weight = ANentrance * AWentrance + ANexit * AWexit/TA
However, the submitted spreadsheets do not contain the formulae or the values of the parameters used for the calculation of the annual average weight.
