Scope: The validation report does not contain a confirmation whether the temporary deviation from the registered monitoring plan or applied methodology does not require prior approval of the Board and the provisions of Appendix 1 of PS apply to those deviations as per VVS version 09.0 paragraphs 289, 298, 300, 301 and 302.
Issue:
(a) The ER spreadsheet states that due to the delay in NCV measurement, baseline emissions for the period of delay (January-February) have been deducted from total baseline emissions, and baseline emissions for January and February amount to 14,870 tCO2eq. However, the calculation of baseline emissions for January and February amounting to 17,870 tCO2 is not provided. Furthermore, there is no information on how the DOE verified it;
(b) The parameter Adjusted CH4 emission factor for uncontrolled burning of biomass from forest operations for the baseline emissions calculation has not considered the delay of the NCV measurement of biomass from forest operations and the delayed calibration of feed belt 331-WT-005.
