Paragraph 373(h) of VVS-PA (version 02.0):
As the current monitoring period covers the first day of the renewed crediting period (third crediting period), the DOE is requested to explain how it determined whether the first day when CERs are being claimed is correctly specified in accordance with the “CDM project cycle procedure for project activities”. The second crediting period expired on 31 January 2015, however, the project activity was only renewed on 13 April 2017. Furthermore, as per section D.6 of validation report during the renewal of crediting period for the third crediting period, the intention to renewal the crediting period of the project was only received by UNFCCC on 17/06/2016. It also states that as the notification of the intention to request a renewal of the crediting period was not received by the secretariat by 180 days prior to the date of expiration of the current crediting period, in accordance with project cycle paragraph 290 the project participants or the coordinating/managing entity shall not be entitled to claim the issuance of CERs from the first day of the next crediting period until the last day before the renewal of crediting period is deemed renewed or until the number of days equivalent to the delay in the notification have elapsed since the notification submission deadline, whichever is earlier.
