The PDD (p 6) states that “In case of a drop-out of a user (e.g. due to shift of the household to a location outside of the Guinea Savannah Zone, or if the user is not using the SAVE80 anymore), the ending date of the SAVE80 use will be noted and recorded in the database. The drop-outs can be replaced by other interested households, so that the number of systems operating refers to the actual number of systems in use, not to the amount of SAVE80 systems sold.” The monitored “Number of SAVE80 systems in use per vintage (4,217)” for the current monitoring period (MP 10) is based on the total number of the delivered systems of 4,784. It is observed that 1) the systems considered for the 9th monitoring period was 4,784 systems and 2) the drop-out rate (11.83%) for the 9th monitoring period was considered based on the reasons of missing, lack of interest, giving out, damage, malfunction of stove and large family. The DOE shall provide further information on how it verified the number of SAVE80 systems in use as per the PDD considering that it verified (p 26) that no new stoves have been implemented in the project since June 2015.
