Issue 1: Samples
The DOE is requested to provide further details regarding how the sampling to measure the parameters “CODww,untreated,y”, “CODww,treated,y” and “CODww,discharge,PJ,y” was carried out. In so doing, please include the dates when the samples were taken and the distribution of the 36 samples of each parameter along the monitoring period, referred to in the VR-PRC page 7 and VCR page 10.
Issue 2: Calibration
The DOE is requested to further explain how the verification of the calibration was carried out, specifying:
a) The DOE’s approach to ensure the conservativeness of emission reduction calculations for the parameters affected by the delays in calibration, in view of paragraphs 366-368 of the “Standard: CDM validation and verification standard for project activities - Version 03.0”. Please refer to the MR, page 31, and to the VCR, Appendix 5, pages 39 – 47.
b) How relevant the following statement is, since it appears that all parameters (except one) in the MR, page 31, and in the VCR, Appendix 5, pages 39 – 47, are affected by calibration delays: “It is evident from the E.5 that calibration for all the meters has been conducted as per the calibration frequency mentioned in the revised PDD” (VCR page 17).
