Five issues agreed by the CDM Executive Board electronically

We have the pleasure to inform you that the CDM Executive Board agreed electronically to:

1) Revise the validation procedure to make project design documents public so that the process becomes more time efficient. The idle time of requests is reduced by 7 to 9 days.
Version 04 of the “Procedures on public availability of the CDM project design document (PDD) and for receiving comments as referred to in paras 40 (b) and (c) of the CDM modalities and procedures” and can be viewed in the reference section for procedures of the UNFCCC CDM web site at: <http://cdm.unfccc.int/Reference/Procedures>

2) Adopt a procedure that enables DOEs to requests issuance of CERs. The DOE interface on the UNFCCC CDM web site to submit such requests for issuance is being finalized.
The procedure is called “Procedures relating to verification report and certification report/request for issuance of CERs” and can be viewed in the reference section for procedures of the UNFCCC CDM web site at: <http://cdm.unfccc.int/Reference/Procedures>

3) Accredit and provisionally designate Det Norske Veritas Certification (DNV Cert) for sector-specific validation in sectoral scope 15- Agriculture.

4) Revise the review conclusions of the EB 19 regarding “La Esperanza Hydroelectric Project (0009)” (Annex 11 of the EB19 report) and “Graneros Plant Fuel Switching Project (0024)” (Annex 12 of the EB19 report) more detail: <http://cdm.unfccc.int/EB/Meetings>

5) Correct the link to the sectoral scope of AM0022. The correct sectoral scope to which the methodology is linked is 13 and not 10. <http://cdm.unfccc.int/methodologies/PAmethodologies/approved.html>
