Project participants willing to validate / register a small scale A/R CDM project activity shall follow procedures described in: “Simplified modalities and procedures for small-scale afforestation and reforestation project activities under the clean development mechanism in the first commitment period of the Kyoto Protocol and measures to facilitate their implementation” Decision 6/CMP.1 (735 KB)

  • use a simplified baseline and monitoring methodologies specified in appendix B Decision 6/CMP.1 (735 KB) for their project type;
  • or
  • propose changes to the simplified baseline and monitoring methodologies specified in appendix B Decision 6/CMP.1 (735 KB) for consideration of the CDM Executive Board;
  • or
  • propose additional project types to those contained in appendix B Decision 6/CMP.1 (735 KB) for consideration of the Board.

      Project participants willing to submit a new small-scale A/R project activity type or revisions to a methodology shall make a request in writing to the Board providing information about the technology/activity and proposals on how a simplified baseline and monitoring methodology would be applied to this type. more >>
