Call for RIT Members

The CDM Executive Board, at its forty-sixth meeting, agreed to make a call for experts in order to extend the current list of RIT members with a view to prepare a shortlist of experts for consideration by the Board at its forty-seventh meeting. The Board requested the secretariat to open the call for experts starting on 30 March 2009 and ending on 4 May 2009, 24:00 GMT.

Competence requirements
An RIT member shall:

(a) Demonstrate relevant working experience, of at least four years on methodological issues and/or monitoring and verification related to project-based mechanisms;
(b) Demonstrate technical/scientific expertise, inter alia through publications, in at least one of the following areas:
    (i) Baseline and/or monitoring methodologies
    (ii) Project activity implementation, including monitoring and verification;

(c) Have excellent drafting skills, strong operational and analytical skills, and the ability to work as a member of a team;
(d) Have an advance university degree in economics, energy, social and environmental studies, natural sciences, engineering, development studies, or any related discipline

The experts wishing to be considered by the Board as the member of the RIT are invited to apply.
Be reminded that the deadline for applications is Monday, 4 May 2009, 24:00 GMT.
