Two calls for public inputs will close on Wednesday, 12 January 2011, 24:00 GMT.

The CDM Executive Board, at its fifty-eighth meeting, agreed to open a call for public inputs on the draft revised "Guidelines on the assessment of investment analysis" which were recommended to the Board by the forty-sixth meeting of Methodologies Panel.

Comments are sought particularly from financial experts working for the local and regional development banks and financial institutions from developing countries engaged in project financing and will serve as discussion document for a workshop to be organized by the secretariat, involving CDM stakeholders and financial experts. The outcome of the workshop will be considered by the secretariat for a final recommendation to the Board.

The Board also agreed to seek public comments on the following draft tools:
• Draft tool for baseline identification
• Draft tool for baseline emission calculation
• Draft tool for the determination of the most attractive alternative of a CDM project component.

The input received from the call will serve together with the draft tools as discussion documents of a workshop to be organized during the first quarter of 2011 with the participation of the CDM stakeholders, the Meth Panel members and the secretariat. The outcome of the workshop will be considered by the Meth Panel for a final recommendation to the Board.

Input to both calls can be received until 12 January 2011 (24:00 GMT) at <https://cdm.unfccc.int/public_inputs/index.html>
