SSC Methodologies

(a) The following proposals on new SSC methodologies have been submitted to the CDM Executive Board for its review and are available for public input from 15 - 29 September 2009:

SSC-NM036: Methane Recovery and thermal heat utilisation in Petroleum Refining Facilities
SSC-NM037: GHG emission reductions by modal shift of transportation of liquid products from existing railway to pipeline

Other methodological issues
------------------------------------------------------------

(a) The following proposed new methodologies were sent from the Meth Panel through the DOE to the project participants to invite clarifications to the preliminary recommendations and technical clarifications to the following proposed new methodologies were provided:

NM0300: Reducing losses of SF6 in electricity transmission and distribution equipment manufacturing by Hyosung Inc.
NM0301: Production of a cement extender from slag for increasing the blend in cement production and the increase in energy efficiency in the production of ferromanganese alloys in electric arc furnaces through the recovery of metal from the slag.
NM0304: Biomass Residues Co-firing Project in Mejillones
NM0306: Pudong Steel COREX® Project
NM0307: Switching to biomass residues as the fuel source for individual stoves
NM0308: Method for Solar Water Heaters (SWHs) for warm water applications
NM0310: Carbon di-oxide emission reductions by the introduction of Hot Direct Reduction Iron in the Electric Arc Furnaces
