Call for input on methodological issues pertaining to (a) energy efficient lighting and/or controls in buildings and (b) solar cookers for households


The CDM Executive Board, at its sixty-third meeting agreed to launch two calls for public inputs for the following top-down developed draft SSC methodologies:
  • a. SSC-II.N "Demand-side energy efficiency activities for installation of energy efficient lighting and/or controls in buildings", as contained in annex 1 of the report of the thirty-third meeting of the SSC WG. The call for inputs will be for issues related to, among other things, applicability to Greenfield projects and level of complexity, as specified in annex 2 of the report of the thirty-third meeting of the SSC WG;
  • b. SSC-I.K "Solar cookers for households"as contained in annex 3 of the report of the thirty-third meeting of the SSC WG. The draft methodology is applicable for box, parabolic and panel cookers and input is sought on, among other things, the approach for determining reduction in fossil fuel consumption that is attributable to the introduction of solar cookers.
The Board further requested the SSC WG to consider the public inputs and make recommendations on the methodologies at its thirty-fifth meeting.
