CDM technology transfer benefits highlighted

The UNFCCC secretariat has published its latest analysis of "The contribution of the clean development mechanism under the Kyoto Protocol to technology transfer". The updated and considerably expanded study of the CDM's role in technology transfer is based on improved data from around 5000 projects in the pipeline (up to 30 June 2010) and provides new perspectives on the technology transfer co-benefits of the CDM. The study demonstrates that the CDM has been and continues to be effective in delivering technology needed by developing countries, in particular in the early years of a host country´s involvement.
