Methodological issues / New SSC Methodologies submitted

(1) Methodologies

(a) The following proposed new methodologies were sent from the Meth Panel through the DOE to the project participants to invite clarifications to the preliminary recommendations and technical clarifications to the following proposed new methodologies were provided:

- NM0235: Manufacturing of energy efficient domestic refrigerators
- NM0238: Point of use Abatement Device to Reduce SF6 Emissions in LCD Manufacturing Operations
- NM0242: Methane Leak Reduction From Natural Gas Pipelines in Georgia
- NM0243: Installation of amorphous transformers in Shandong power distribution grid

(2) Small-Scale Methodologies

(a) The following proposals on new SSC methodologies have been submitted to the CDM Executive Board for its review and are available for public input from 11 January 2008 - 24 January 2008:

- SSC-NM001: Fugitive methane recovery from mining operations
- SSC-NM002: Methodology for energy efficiency improvement in industrial facilities – Generation projects
- SSC-NM003: Switching from High Carbon-Intensive Energy Source (HCES) to Low Carbon-intensive Energy Source (LCES) in a facility
- SSC-NM004: Methane avoidance in animal waste management systems (AWMS) through separation of volatile solids
