Call for inputs on two afforestation and reforestation issues

In accordance with the request of the CDM Executive Board, at its twentieth meeting, the following two documents are open for public comments from 12 July to 8 August 2005:


(1) Draft simplified baseline and monitoring methodologies for selected A/R small-scale CDM project activity categories (see below for more information)


(2) Draft tool for the demonstration and assesment of additionality for CDM A/R project activities (see below for more information)

(1) Draft simplified baseline and monitoring methodologies for selected A/R small-scale CDM project activity categories

Background:
The Executive Board, at its twentieth meeting, agreed that the draft version of the simplified methodologies for small scale A/R project activities prepared by the A/R WG is made publicly available for comments on the UNFCCC CDM web site from 12 July to 8 August 2005. Comments received shall be considered by the A/R WG at its next meeting with a view to recommend a revised version of the draft simplified methodologies for small-scale A/R activities for consideration at the twenty-first meeting of the Board.


(2) Draft tool for the demonstration and assessment of additionality for CDM A/R project activities (152 KB)

Background :
The Executive Board, at its twentieth meeting, considered a draft version of tool for the demonstration and assessment of additionality for CDM A/R project activities, not required for small scale A/R project activities, and agreed that a draft version revised by the Chair of the A/R WG is made publicly available for comments on the UNFCCC CDM web site from 12 July to 8 August 2005. When submitting comments, the Board encouraged the public to also consider the eligibility of lands. The comments received to this call shall be considered by the A/R WG, with a view to making a recommendation to the Board for consideration at its twenty-first meeting.
